Thursday Night Football Picks – Best Value Bets For Broncos at Browns

Week 7 of the NFL season gets underway with an AFC matchup between the Denver Broncos and Cleveland Browns. Both teams sit at 3-3 on the season, with numerous injuries to key players on both sides of the ball. In this article, I will identify the three most profitable Thursday Night Football Picks from the Broncos-Browns matchup. Plus, I’ll show you which NFL betting sites are offering the best odds.

Let’s take a look and see which bets rank atop the list:

Thursday Night Football Picks For Week 7

Under 41 Points (-110, Caesars Sportsbook)

This is going to be an ugly game, there’s no way around that. Not only will the Broncos be making a road into a different time zone (two hours difference), but the Browns will be without their starting quarterback Baker Mayfield. In addition, Broncos QB Teddy Bridgewater is listed as questionable with a foot injury. As you can tell, things are chaotic right now everywhere for the two teams. What that means is that there will be a lot of running the football and clock-killing drives. Unfortunately, we missed the value in the opening total at 44.5. However, you can always tease it up or do a 44.5-point alternate total paired up with something else in a Same Game Parlay.

Browns -2 (-110, PointsBet)

I would love to believe that the home team, which didn’t have to travel to Thursday’s game, will take advantage of the short week and stick it to the visitors. The Broncos actually won a game like this last season on a Thursday night, albeit against the Jets. Surely, they won’t be able to do it two years in a row, right? If Drew Lock winds up getting the start or coming in for relief duties, this is going to look like more of an optimistic chance for Cleveland.

Despite getting clobbered by the Cardinals at home in Week 6, the Browns are ready to get back on the good foot and get above .500 once again. In fact, that was their first blowout loss of the season, so perhaps the short week is a blessing for them this time around. Look for fill-in RB D’Ernest Johnson to play a big role and lead Cleveland to victory. Backup QB Case Keenum is serviceable enough to get the job for a game – maybe even longer.

Melvin Gordon: Over 11.5 Receiving Yards (-110, Caesars Sportsbook)

This feels like a game where the Broncos will need Gordon’s expertise in catching balls from the backfield. Gordon already has at least nine receiving yards in each game, with two of them (9, 11) falling just shy of the 11.5 prop he has for Thursday. After slowing down the RB position in targets early this season, the Browns have now allowed each of their last four opponents to have at least four RB targets. That is more than enough looks for Gordon to get over 11.5 yards through the air.
