Ronald Jones

OL Ali Marpet hasn’t played since Week 8 against the New York Giants, but Jones learned to adapt without him last week against the Carolina Panthers. In that game, RoJo rushed for a career-high 192 yards, which was highlighted by a miraculous 98-yard TD run.
If the Bucs are going to have success tonight, it needs to begin with the run. Of course, any time you take a chance on the Bucs’ backfield, you do so with the knowledge that fellow RB Leonard Fournette can also get in on the production as well. In this matchup, though, I believe Jones is the way to go. We have consistently seen more versatile RBs do damage against the Rams, getting DT Aaron Donald to move side to side- rather than straight forward.

Jones did have a three-game string of 100-yard performances earlier this season when Fournette wasn’t getting carries mixed in. Hopefully, the Bucs realize RoJo is their best chance to win on the ground tonight.

My apologies for the heavy juice on the 4.5 catches, but AB will have the best chance of any Bucs WR to do some damage tonight. When attacking the Rams, opposing passing games have found success most in the middle of the field.
What’s funny is that the last time Tom Brady faced the Rams (Super Bowl LIII), slot-WR Julian Edelman and TE Rob Gronkowski were his main targets. Please believe, Rams head coach Sean McVay remembers all too well what the latter did to them in that big game.
It seems ridiculous to say, because of the great wealth of Bucs’ weapons, but AB could be the guy that gets overlooked in the Rams’ defensive scheme. This is probably going to be an ugly game already as it is, let’s have the gaudy WR spice it up a little bit.
In two games this season, AB has registered 10 catches on 13 targets for an even 100 yards. He’s still looking for that first TD as well. Could tonight be the night?

With fellow WRs Robert Woods and Josh Reynolds having tougher matchups on the outside, this should funnel more targets to the middle of the field. Additionally, the Rams’ running game will likely get shut down since the Bucs have the NFL’s best run defense. Everything is adding up for Kupp having a nice source of production.
Kupp had a huge day in last season’s matchup, grabbing nine catches on 15 targets for 121 yards and a TD.
