Wednesday night’s NHL schedule is an abbreviated one with only three games on the menu. In this article, I will provide my top three NHL picks to make a maximum profit.
Tonight’s games are Colorado Avalanche at Vancouver Canucks, Chicago Blackhawks at Seattle Kraken & Washington Capitals at Los Angeles Kings.
Colorado Avalanche at Vancouver Canucks
When these teams met six days ago, the Avalanche hung a 7-1 win on the Canucks in Colorado. Now that the scene is shifting to Vancouver, I still don’t see things getting any better.
The Avalanche has outscored its last two opponents (one of them being the Canucks) by the score of 13-3 while the Canucks have been outscored 19-6 in their last three games. The numbers are too good for Colorado, especially with Vancouver allowing goals left and right.
Pick: Avalanche ML (-160)
Chicago Blackhawks at Seattle Kraken
The Blackhawks are 3-0 since making a head coaching change, emphasizing defense over anything else. Chicago has now allowed a total of four goals over these last three games.
On the other side, the Kraken has lost four straight, with the last three deficits coming by two goals or more.
A lot of money is heading Seattle’s way tonight, and that could be appealing when looking at Chicago’s 0-5-1 record on the road. Block out the noise and roll with the Blackhawks to get their first road win of the season.
Pick: Blackhawks ML (+130)
Washington Capitals at Los Angeles Kings
Both teams had a winning streak snapped in their last game, so this should be entertaining to see which one bounces back. With that being said, both teams should also be a little off-balance in tonight’s matchup.
For one, the Capitals played in Anaheim last night and there could very well be a case of the LA flu going around if the team had a good time in Tinseltown.
In addition, this will be the Kings’ first game since returning home from a four-game Canadian road trip. The first game back after a lengthy road trip tends to be a dud for the home team.
Pick: Under 5.5 Goals (-110)
